Chocolate Meatball Cookies

Preparation. Cream shortening and sugar in a large bowl, then add eggs and vanilla. Stir together dry ingredients in a separate bowl: flour, cocoa powder, baking soda and baking powder, salt and spices. Mix dry ingredients into the creamed mixture, alternating with the milk until it's a nice thick cookie batter consistency.

Remove from sheets and cool completely on racks. Combine the Icing ingredients in a bowl until just smooth. You want it more thick than thin, but still runny. Dip the tops of the cooled cookies into the glaze, then return to the wire rack, allowing the glaze to drip down the sides of the cookie.

For frosting, mix 3 cups confectionary sugar, 2 Tbsp milk, and 1 tsp vanilla extract. I didn't have shortening, so I used 1/2C coconut oil as a sub.
