Since founding Georgetown Cupcake with her sister Sophie Kallinis LaMontagne in 2008 after moving from Canada, Katherine Kallinis Berman has been working to become a United States citizen. That journey has been completed, as she joined hundreds of others in officially becoming America's newest citizens after they took the Oath of Allegiance at the Hylton Performance Arts Center in Manassas.
